Discerning God’s Will for You

Challenge Point

In our series “How to Know the Will of God”, our key verse is Colossians 3:17, “Whatever you do in word or deed, do it all in the name of Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him”. Whatever I do can be God’s will for my life if I do it God’s way. Abraham set out to find God’s will, he trusted God unconditionally. Noah built an ark as his destiny was to fulfillGod’s will in building a vessel for God’s plan to continue. When we have a spiritual ear that’s tuned to the voice of God, we will know our specific calling, and He will confirm that calling and reveal His will to us. For any of this to occur there must be something that drives this new understanding and desire for God's will in our lives. It is what Paul called the renewal or of the mind. Unless our body, soul, and spirit are uniformly connected to the ways and commands of God, it will be near impossible to know what God's will for your life is. Discerning God’s will for you becomes easier to see and understand when you allow God to transform your mind through a spiritual rebirth. A renewed mind enables us to discern the will of God. We can come to know what God has in mind for us, and we will find what His will is for us, when we have a spiritual mind that's tuned to the voice of God.  Do you have a spiritual ear that’s tuned to God’s ways? Has your mind been renewed in hearing God’s will? These and other opportunities to see God work will become commonplace as we gain experience in recognizing God’s will for our lives. Continue in the journey and God’s ways will lead you.
